125. Arc Angel by Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School Advanced Metal Sculpture Class

Arc Angel is the result of a collaboration of 18 students from all walks of life coming together to create one work of art. Each student was instructed to bring their ideas to the table and the class voted on their favorite idea. The chosen design ended up being a crestfallen angel who seems to have had a long, difficult day day. The students take a lot of pride in the concept and especially love the look of the wings. It was challenging to find parts to create the sculpture, and the class is thankful for material donated by MEI – Total Elevator Solutions. The piece was supposed to take one semester, but it took nine months to create resulting in a lot of extra time outside of class by the students to complete the project.
